Numerical Modeller open position at his office in Barcelona, Spain. The candidate

What you’ll be doing
- Develop and implement numerical models based on partial differential
equations to quantify groundwater flow and radionuclide transport from deep
underground facilities to the biosphere. - Effectively communicate the results of projects with clients (both external and
within the wider RSK group) and Amphos 21 colleagues to build strong working
relationships with the aim of meeting client expectations. - Managing the technical aspects of projects to meet both commercial and
technical requirements and working with the project team and project lead to
deliver innovative solutions
What we’re looking for:
- A degree and MSc in Civil or Geological Engineering, Industrial or Chemical
Engineering, Physics, Geology or related are essential. - Knowledge about physical (heat and contaminant transport, fluid flow,
twophase flow, or solid mechanics) and/or chemical processes in porous
media. - Knowledge in modelling with commercial or open-source Finite Element,
Finite Differences of Finite Volume codes, e.g. Comsol Multiphysics,
PFLOTRAN, FEFLOW or similar. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including report
writing. Spanish, Catalan and/or French will be highly valued. - Able to work independently and as part of a high performance team.
- Good knowledge of programming languages, such as Fortran, Python or C++
will be highly valued.
